Clarendon County School District to hold 'Pop In' registration days for 2022-23 year

For the upcoming school year, the newly consolidated Clarendon County School District will hold in-person registration days with a twist to make the process more enjoyable for parents.

The consolidation for the Clarendon County School District will be finalized July 1. Once finalized, registration will begin for the 2022-23 school year.

To go with the theme, "Pop In and Register," the school district will serve popcorn for parents and children in attendance.

"We know that online registration would be ideal. However, we have to make sure that PowerSchool is ready for our students," said Flurry Wilson, director of student services, in a news release. "We want this to be as easy and painless as possible."

The past few years the district has held registration online to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, but it was time for change along with the newly merged districts.

Registration will be held at Manning High School, Scott's Branch Middle/High School and East Clarendon Middle/High School starting July 11.

Out-of-district students will be able to register with the proper documentation and fees from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 11-14. In-district students will also begin registration at the district high schools from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on July 11 and then from noon to 6 p.m. July 18-21 with the proper documentation.
