I-95 exit 115 entrance ramp Northbound closed

RAM BAY - The entrance ramp onto Interstate 95 at exit 115 is closed for northbound traffic.

Until further notice, all traffic headed north on I-95 exit 115 must use alternate routes.

Clarendon County SC250 Committee to meet Jan. 10

MANNING - The Clarendon County SC250 Committee will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce office, 19 N. Brooks St.

Individuals interested in becoming a part of a committee that will organize and define Clarendon County's role in the Revolutionary War are asked to attend the meeting.

Revolutionary War history buffs, history enthusiasts or anyone interested in helping celebrate Clarendon County's role in the war is asked to attend the meeting.

Library Book Club meets Jan. 23

MANNING - The Harvin Clarendon County Library Book Club will meet 4:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, at the library, 215 N. Brooks St.

"The Life She Was Given" by Ellen Marie Wiseman will be discussed.

Annual St. Matthias Oyster Roast is Jan. 28

SUMMERTON - St. Matthias Anglican Church has tickets on sale now for its annual oyster roast that begins at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Flowers Farm Tomato Shed on K.W. Hodge Road, off U.S. 301 south of Manning.

Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased from church members.

The roast also has barbecue, soups, dessert and much more.

'American Pickers' visiting the Clarendon area in February 2023

CLARENDON COUNTY - The 'American Pickers' TV show on the History Channel will be visiting the Midlands of South Carolina in February 2023 looking for "interesting characters with fascinating items and lots of them."

The show is looking for large, rare collections and antiques.
