Camp Happy Days needs donations

SUMMERTON - Camp Happy Days, a weeklong camp for children with cancer and their siblings, is returning to Camp Bob Cooper the first week in July.

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the camp into partial and virtual camps for the past two years, but this year these young cancer patients will be able to enjoy all the fun and festivities that Clarendon County has to offer.

The camp can't happen without the help of the community. Camp Happy Days is in dire need of funds, especially to cover the rising costs of food and other supplies.

If you would like to help make this year's camp a success for these youngsters and teens, please send a donation to Bill Ellis, 1358 Sportsman Drive, Manning SC 29102. Please make the check payable to: Camp Happy Days.

If you would like more information, please call Ellis, who has been volunteering with Camp Happy Days for more than three decades, at (803) 460-7666.
