Lowe's entrance closed to public
The entrance into the Lowe's property off Paxville Highway is now closed to the public. Traffic can use Edgewood Drive to access Tractor Supply and the Dollar Tree.
Master Gardeners' Plant Sale May 2 and 3
MANNING - The Annual Clarendon County Master Gardeners' Plant Sale will be held from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, May 2, and from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, May 3, at the Land, Parker & Welch Courtyard near the corner of West Keitt and South Mill streets.
Stan the "Citrus Man" will be on hand answering questions and suggesting the best varieties for the planting area.
Annuals, perennials and "pass-along" plants will be on sale.
3-day revival at Summerton UM Church
SUMMERTON - The Jordan Charge and Summerton United Methodist Church are hosting a three-day revival Monday-Wednesday, May 5-7, at Summerton United Methodist Church, 2 Briggs St.
Worship will begin at 6 p.m. Guest speakers will be the Rev. Kathrine Crimm on May 5; the Rev. Dr. Mary Rhodes on May 6; and the Rev. Dr. Carolyn Roy on May 7.
Walk/Run Wearing Pink Sneakers is May 17
MANNING - The 14th-Annual Think Pink Banquet sponsors of the Walk/Run Wearing Pink Sneakers event will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, in the Manning High School gymnasium, 2155 Paxville Highway.
Money from the event will benefit the Clarendon County Cancer OverComers.

'Boat Church' set to begin on May 25
LAKE MARION - The board of directors of "Boat Church" is preparing for the first service of Christian worship at Boyles' Point on Lake Marion this summer. Worship will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 25. We look forward to greeting our old friends and meeting new ones.

Celebrity Cornhole Tournament fundraiser
MANNING - Be Propelled Foundation is sponsoring a Celebrity Cornhole Tournament from noon until 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, at Manning Elementary School, 311 W. Boyce St.
The cost is $50 per team for the cash prize/winner-takes-all tournament. Food vendors and more will be on site.
