Group's fall convocation, official opening ceremony Nov. 18

MANNING - Lighthouse Theological & Seminary Inc. will hold its fall convocation and official opening ceremony at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Weldon Auditorium.

The speaker for the occasion will be William Johnson, adjunct professor of the Lighthouse Seminary and senior pastor of Historic Taw Caw Missionary Baptist Church. The event will be hosted by Handsome Major, provost of the Lighthouse Seminary and presiding bishop of Tabernacle of Praise Manning. For more information, visit www.lighthousetis.com.

Harvin Clarendon County Library welcomes a visit from Santa on Nov. 27

MANNING - Harvin Clarendon County Library, 215 N. Brooks St., will host a visit from Santa Claus from 4-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27.

Manning's Parade of Lights is Nov. 26

MANNING - Manning's Parade of Lights will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 26.

The parade will meander down Brooks Street through the downtown area. Floats, bands, dancers and fire trucks will be part of the event. Children of all ages will also get a glimpse of Jolly Old St. Nick.

Turbeville Christmas Parade will be Dec. 9

SUMMERTON - The Town of Summerton's Christmas Parade will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10.

The entire county is invited to attend. Join Summerton in welcoming in the holidays.

K&H Resource Center hosts Steppin' into the Holidays

SUMMERTON - K&H Resource Center will be hosting its inaugural "Steppin' into the Holidays" Adult Sneaker Ball fundraiser at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Clarendon County Resource Center Gym, 1154 Fourth St.

It's an evening of food and music. Advance tickets are $25. Reserved sponsor tables that seat eight are $200. Music will be provided by DJ Soldier Boy. Attendees will be able to remember the night with The 360 Photo Booth.
