Roll "N" Dices sponsors Family Fun

MANNING - The Roll "N" Dices Motorcycle Club of Summerton is sponsoring a free Family Fun Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 7 at J.C. Britton Park, 3057 Raccoon Road. Everyone will enjoy fun jumps, food and a deejay.

Golf tourney at Wyboo course

MANNING - Jordan Crossroads Ministry Center-Haven of Rest is hosting its First Golf Tournament beginning at 10 a.m. Sept. 14 at Players Course at Wyboo, 1560 Players Course Drive.

The tourney will feature captain's choice four-person teams. The entry fee is $50 with the check-in at 9 a.m. Coffee and a sweet bun will be provided at check-in along with a meal following the tournament. Chamber Awards Dinner Sept. 12

MANNING - Due to Hurricane Dorian, the Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce moved its Annual Awards Dinner to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Alderman 20 Stores in One, 34 N. Brooks St.

Blessing of the Harvest on Sept. 13

SUMMERTON - A Blessing of the Harvest will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the home of Chris and Wendy Cogdill, 5689 Gov. Richardson Road, Summerton. The guest speaker will be Roy Cash, a retired U.S. Navy captain, fighter pilot and former commanding officer of Top Gun. Attendees are asked to bring a chair, covered dish, a grateful heart and a friend.

E-waste event on Oct. 19

MANNING - Clarendon County will offer an E-Waste Recycling Collection Event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 19 at the Administration Building, 411 Sunset Drive. Shred-with-Us will be on site to shred important documents free of charge.

Items that will not be accepted include refrigerators, washing machines, clothes dryers, dishwashers, mercury containing devices (i.e. thermometers and fire alarms), hazardous waste chemicals, light bulbs, fluorescent tubes and bio waste.

Public invited to 9/11 Observance Service

MANNING - The City of Manning will be hosting a 9/11 Observance Service at 8 a.m. on Sept. 11 at the Church Street Park Gazebo. Clarendon County Sheriff Tim Baxley will be the speaker. All are welcome to attend.

Community chat sessions begin Sept. 10

MANNING - Manning Heart and Soul Partners, the City of Manning and the Central Carolina Community Foundation are sponsoring a Coffee Break to chat about the community from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 10 at Lucy's Traditional Bakehouse, 218 S. Mill St., and from 9 to 11 a.m. Sept. 12 at Calla Lily Cafe, 14 N. Brooks St.

Brain Health walk on Oct. 5

MANNING - The Walk for Brain Health will be held at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 5 at the Manning High School football field's track area, 2155 Paxville Highway.

The event is sponsored by the Clarendon County Pilot Club, LMA Anchor Club, Manning High School FFA and Agape Hospice.

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the walk at 9:30 a.m. Refreshments, prizes and more will be offered. To participate, please offer a $10 donation.
