Free grab-and-go meals offered for CSD2 students

MANNING - Clarendon School District 2 has partnered with the U.S. Department of Agriculture to offer free meals to in-person, e-learning students and all children 18 years old and younger in the community.

Grab-and-go meals are available at all Clarendon School District 2 schools through Dec. 18 with a tentative restart date of Jan. 3, 2021. Each bag contains five days of breakfasts and lunches. Meals can be picked up at the rear door of each school's cafeteria from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and from 3 to 5 p.m. each Thursday. No meal pickup is available on Friday.

It is important to call each school cafeteria in advance to allow the school to prepare enough meals.

To pick up meals, parents or students must have the meal number for each enrolled student for whom you are picking up the meals. If you have unenrolled students in your household that are 18 years old and younger, you may pick up meals for them by filling out a CSD2 meal form on-site before you can receive the meals.

To reserve your meals, call: Manning Early Childhood Center at (803) 473-4808; Manning Elementary School at (803) 435-4653; Manning Primary School at (803) 435-8538; Manning Junior High School at (803) 435-2778; and Manning High School at (803) 825-5037.

For information, contact the CSD2 Nutrition Services office at (803) 825-5134 or (803) 825-5126.
