MANNING - The Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce will be participating in a ribbon cutting for Magnolia & Grace, 9 S. Mill St., at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 6.

'No Zoo Needed' Oct. 12 at  Weldon Auditorium

MANNING - The Manning Council of Garden Clubs will host "No Zoo Needed" by Jay Keck at 3 p.m. Oct. 12 at Weldon Auditorium, 7 Maple St.

Keck, the habitat education manager with the South Carolina Wildlife Federation, will talk about the diversity of birds in the state, where to find them, how to attract them and how to make your yard a bird habitat.

The event is free to the public, and attendees can register for a large, one-of-a-kind birdhouse that will be given away at the event.

Clarendon Cup Jr. Chamber Golf Tournament Oct. 15

MANNING - The Clarendon County Jr. Chamber is hosting the 2nd-Annual Clarendon Cup on Oct. 15 at Shannon Greens Golf Club, 1435 Davenport Drive.

It will be a three-man Captain's Choice tournament.

Library hosts Make Your Own Haunted House

MANNING - It's time to begin preparing for the ghosts and goblins, or at least the edible variety.

The Harvin Clarendon County Library is hosting a Make Your Own Haunted House at 5 p.m. Oct. 27 at the library.

Summerton Duckfest returns Oct. 8

SUMMERTON - Summerton will host the Summerton Duckfest Festival on Oct. 8 in downtown Summerton.

Returning in 2022 are the Ultimate Air Dog Competition, cornhole tournament, dog retrieving demo, parade, Duck Calling Contest, Duckfest Cook-off, Duckfest Color Run, plus lots of food, festivities and a whole lot more fun for the entire family. Duckfest T-shirts and hats will be on sale.
