Free Fall Clothing Giveaway on Oct. 8

SUMMERTON - K&H Resource Center is hosting a Free Fall Clothing Giveaway at noon on Oct. 8 at 45 S. Church St.

Free new toddler clothing will be available in sizes 6-24 months, 3T-4T and sizes 6 and more. The clothing has been donated by Save the Children.

Attendees can enjoy free hotdogs with chili.

Fundraisers for Jordan Oct. 9 and 14, Nov. 12

MANNING - The senior class at Laurence Manning Academy is sponsoring a "Hocus Pocus 2" Movie Night at 8 p.m. Oct. 9 at LMA Stadium, 1154 Academy Drive.

Tickets to the movie are $5 each with all proceeds to benefit Dr. Spencer Jordan.

Please bring a towel or chair. Drinks and popcorn will be provided.

LMA's Fellowship of Christian Athletes is hosting a Bake Sale Fundraiser for Jordan during LMA's Homecoming Game on Oct. 14.

Donations for the sale may be dropped off at LMA on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14 at any time during the day. Donations of pies, cakes, cookies, brownies and all goodies will be accepted.

The Dr. Spencer Jordan Benefit Golf Tournament will be held at Shannon Greens Country Club on Nov. 12.

Registration for the tournament will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the 3-man Captain's Choice format teeing off at 9 a.m. The cost to participate is $300 per team, which includes two mulligans per person, one tee buster per person and a meal. The tournament is limited to the first 30 teams to register. The tournament officials ask that teams have a minimum combined 20 handicap.

Halloween fest, trick-or-treating Oct. 31

The City of Manning Police Department recommends that you participate in trick-or-treating from 5 to 8 p.m. at participating homes.

Sen. Kevin L. Johnson and Rep. Kimberly O. Johnson will be sponsoring a Halloween Fest from 6-8 p.m. on the corner of Boundary and Boyce streets. The Fest will feature hot dogs with chili, soft drinks, bounce houses and face painting. Come join the fun.
