McLeod Health Clarendon hosts blood drive June 1

MANNING - McLeod Health Clarendon will host a blood drive from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. June 1 at 10 Hospital St.

All donors will receive a $20 gift card.

Face coverings are required while donating.

Free Crafts at Library beginning June 1

MANNING - The Harvin Clarendon County Library, 215 N. Brooks St., will have fun, entertaining and informational crafts for children in June. The first "Craft Pick Up for Children" will be held from 10 a.m. June 1 to 5 p.m. June 4. The free craft will feature a 3-D foam safari animal. From 10 a.m. June 7 to 5 p.m. June 11, the library will offer a free "Craft Pick Up for Children" featuring a farm animal fact notebook. From 10 a.m. June 14 to 5 p.m. June 18, the library will offer a free "Craft Pick Up for Children" featuring a hedgehog handprint.

Summerton Baptist Church to hold VBS beginning June 6

SUMMERTON - Summerton Baptist Church, 215 Main St., will be hosting its Vacation Bible School from June 6 through June 10.

This year's VBS will explore Mystery Island to uncover some of God's many attributes.

The VBS is for children between the ages of K4 and 6th grade. Registration is required.

CCGOP to meet on June 10

MANNING - The Clarendon County Republican Party will meet at 7 p.m. June 10 at Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church, 2116 Greeleyville Highway.

A meal will be served at 6 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Donations will be accepted toward the cost of the meal.

The guest speaker for the evening will be South Carolina Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom.
