'Imperfect Strangers: The Ant and the Grasshopper'

MANNING - Join in the fun when Porkchops Productions presents "Imperfect Strangers: The Ant and the Grasshopper" at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, at Weldon Auditorium, 7 Maple St.

Manning's Summer Fun is at 214 E. Huggins St.

MANNING - Manning and Team Manning are sponsoring Summer Fun at the parks throughout the city on Thursdays in June and July.

At 6 p.m. June 29, Summer Fun will be held at 214 E. Huggins St.

Frozen pops and picnic goodies will be served free of charge, while supplies last. All attendees will get a chance to visit with Manning Police Department's officers.

Bring a chair and enjoy the fun.

Monarch Strong is hosting Auto, Bike and Golf Carts Show

MANNING - Monarch Strong is hosting an Auto, Bike and Golf Carts Show from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, June 24, at J.C. Britton Park, 3057 Raccoon Road, Manning.

All vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles and even golf carts, are welcome.

There will even be a hot air balloon so folks can "rise above their cares."

There is something for every member of the family, including lots of great food, games and music by DJ Soldier Boy.

Let's Read Clarendon will be held every Wednesday at Walker Gamble Park

NEW ZION - Let's Read Clarendon will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 June 28 at Walker Gamble Park, 2358 Walker Gamble Road.

The guest reader on June 28 will be Clarendon County Fire Rescue's Lt. April Conyers, public education and information officer.

Children can bring their own books or choose one from the park's mini library.

Upcoming speakers will include Jacqueline Inabinette on July 12, Clarendon County Sheriff Tim Baxley on July 19 and Young Miss Teen Clarendon County Lexi Goff on July 26.

Everyone is welcome to attend each event.

Manning City Hall is hosting Power Hours on June 27

MANNING - Manning City Hall is hosting Power Hours from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 27, at Manning City Hall, 29 W. Boyce St.

People will have the opportunity to talk with a Duke Energy representative about your bill or other Duke Energy questions.

Camp Happy Days picnic table raffle raising money for camp

MANNING - The Optimist Club of Clarendon County is hosting a picnic table raffle with proceeds benefiting Camp Happy Days, a camp for pediatric cancer patients and their siblings that is held annually at Camp Bob Cooper during the week of July 4.

The picnic table is valued at $1,800.

Tickets are $5 each or $20 for five and can be purchased at Cissy's, 9 Mill St., or by calling (803) 460-8053. Donations for Camp Happy Days are also welcome.

Manning celebrates the Fourth with a Red, White & Blue Celebration

MANNING - The City of Manning will herald in the Fourth of July with its annual Red, White & Blue Celebration from 6:30 to 11 p.m. July 3 at the Farmers Market, 21 E. Boyce St.

The celebration will feature music and food. The dazzling fireworks display will begin at 10 p.m.

Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy the festivities.
