Town of Summerton Christmas Parade will be on Saturday

SUMMERTON - Town of Summerton Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 16. The parade will line up at 9:45 a.m. and begin at 11 a.m.

Everyone is invited to attend.

Summerton's 2nd-Annual

Christmas Meal is Dec. 16

SUMMERTON - Summerton Mayor Tony Junious announced Summerton's 2nd-Annual Christmas Meal for the residents of Summerton will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, in Council Chambers at Summerton Town Hall, 10 Main St.

Take-out plates only and one plate per person.

Clarendon County Detention Center's Helping Hands Fundraiser

MANNING - The Clarendon County Detention Center is asking for donations to benefit needy families in Clarendon County.

For the past 20-plus years, the staff at the CCDC has been helping needy families with gifts, including toys, clothing and food, for families who are need of a little help during the holidays.

Anyone wishing to help with donations can drop off their presents or cash donations at the CCDC, 320 E. Boyce St., or call (803) 435-8831.

Help the elves at the CCDC make the holidays brighter for children and adults who need a "helping hand" this holiday season.

Melina Presbyterian Church Christmas Eve Service

GABLE - Melina Presbyterian Church, 3539 Black River Road, will host its Christmas Eve Service at 7 p.m. Dec. 24.

"For to us a child is born. To us a son is given."
