Manning hosts its End of Summer Concert Sept. 21

MANNING - Celebrate the end of summer with a free concert at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, on Brooks Street.

The featured band will be Away Team. There will be food truck vendors selling food and drinks.

Bring a lawn chair, sit back and enjoy a concert with your friends and neighbors.

Santee Cooper Regional Airport celebrates 57 years on Sept. 23

MANNING - Santee Cooper Regional Airport, 8604 S.C. 260, will host a celebration recognizing 57 years of service beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23.

The celebration will include an aircraft display featuring historic World War II aircraft, food trucks, a kids' area and much more.

Admission is free.

SC@WORK Roadtrip visits Summerton on Sept. 28

SUMMERTON - Join SC@Work Roadtrip for a Job Fair and Community Event from 9 to 11 a.m. Sept. 28 at K & H Resource Center, 1154 4th St.

The mobile center will assist individuals with job applications, resumes and unemployment insurance.

Journey to Recovery Celebration Sept. 30

MANNING - Clarendon Behavioral Health Services is hosting Journey to Recovery Celebration - Getting to YOUR Finish Line from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at Weldon Auditorium and the Clarendon County Community Complex gymnasium, 7 Maple St.

Sponsors for the event will include the John Landon Black Foundation, Clarendon County Sheriff's Office, Manning Police Department and others.

There will be a 5K Run/Walk, car show, food, food trucks, music, vendors, resources and door prizes.

2023 Duckfest is Oct. 7

SUMMERTON - Mark the 2023 Duckfest on your calendar for Oct. 7.

Leading up to the big event, a golf tournament will be held Saturday, Sept. 23; Miss Duckfest on Sunday, Sept. 24; and a fishing tournament on Saturday, Sept. 30.

On Saturday, Oct. 7, events will include the Ultimate Air Dogs Demonstration, Cornhole Tournament, Dog Retrieving Demonstration, Cook Off, Car Show, Run and Clarendon County Fire Rescue Demonstration.

Francis Marion Symposium Oct. 20-21

Junior Chamber hosts 4th-Annual Clarendon Cup on Oct. 28

MANNING - Clarendon County Junior Chamber is hosting its 4th-annual Clarendon Cup 3-Man Captain's Choice Golf Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Wyboo Golf Club, 2565 Players Course Drive.

Registration fee is $100 a man or $300 a team. Registration is at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start at 11 a.m.

HopeHealth Golf Classic to be held on Nov. 16

Manning Farmer's Market is open every Saturday

MANNING - Fresh, locally grown produce is available from 8 a.m. to noon at the Manning Farmer's Market at the corner of Church and Brooks streets.

Local gardeners as well as local farmers and others will have a variety of fresh produce for sale.
