CHRISTOPHER LYNN NAVE

Christopher Lynn Nave, 50, of Gibsonville, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Moses Cone Hospital. He was born on Nov. 29, 1973, at Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, to Gary and Miyoko Nave. He was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Lula Nave; an uncle, Kenneth Franklin; and an aunt, Patsy Nave.

Christopher was a loving father and will be greatly missed by his children, family and friends. He was a project manager for Blastco in Sumter. Christopher enjoyed spending time with family, kayaking, bass fishing, hiking and cooking.

In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory are his children, Jessica Nave of Raleigh, North Carolina, Justin Nave of Charleston, South Carolina, Hannah Nave of Temple, Texas, and Ella Nave of Lexington, South Carolina; a sister, Julie Brown (Kenneth) of Gibsonville, North Carolina; nieces, Sachi and Kaya Brown; an aunt, Barbara Smith (Paul) of Banner Elk, North Carolina; and uncles, Larry Nave (Sara) and Gene Hubbard, all of Elizabethton.

The family will have a graveside service at Happy Valley Memorial Park on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Kenneth Brown giving the eulogy and Pastor Sherrel Nave officiating. Those who would like to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday.

For those who prefer memorials, in lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations to be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
