Chester Robert Korycinski, 85, husband of Mary Helen Lesinski Korycinski, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at his home in Manning.

Born June 5, 1925, in Syracuse, N.Y., he was a son of the late Walter and Julia Korycinski. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the US LST Association and a mine sweeping fleet of the Navy. In addition, he was a retired electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his wife of Manning; a stepson, James Kazel and his wife, Kathleen, of Woodbridge, Va.; a stepdaughter, April Zebrowski and her husband, Anthony, of North Syracuse, N.Y.; a sister, Irene Lawless, of Syracuse; three grandchildren and three nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Korycinski.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Syracuse.
