CHERYL MALONE

Cheryl Cherice Adams Malone died Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Palmetto Health Richland, Columbia.

Born Oct. 15, 1972, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was raised by the late Junious and Carrie Green and was the biological daughter of Jerry Adams and the late Stephanie Malone. She was the adoptive daughter of the late Willette White. She graduated from Scott's Branch High School in 1990. She received a nursing license from Central Carolina Technical College and worked as a licensed practical nurse. She was working on a bachelor's degree in nursing. She attended Newlight Baptist Church in Davis Station, where she served as a youth Sunday school teacher and later became an associate minister at Blessed Assurance Outreach Ministries.

Survivors besides her father of New York include a sister, Jasmine White of Brooklyn; and eight aunts and uncles.

Funeral services were held July 27 at Blessed Assurance Outreach Ministries, 104 S. Sumter St., Sumter, with Apostle Dr. Mary Scott Nelson as eulogist. Burial followed at Summerton Funeral Service cemetery.

The family received friends at the home, 2105 Cypress Drive, Summerton.
