Health science students at F.E. DuBose Career Center visited the McLeod Health Immersive Clinical Exploration (ICE) Lab recently. According to Clarendon County School District's Facebook page, "High-fidelity simulator manikins are available to students at regional high schools and clinicians at McLeod Health thanks to a innovative grant obtained by Florence County School Districts 2 and 5. The ICE Lab is also made possible through generous donations to the McLeod Health Foundation. Students engaged in experiential learning by participating in a birthing simulation with simulator Victoria and a sudden cardiac arrest of a high school athlete with simulator Hal. High-fidelity simulation creates a live patient scenario by promoting realism and instant feedback for the care being given."
