BINGHAMTON, New York - Virginia E. Brown and Todd A. Mills, both of Whitney Point, New York, were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2022, at PAL Camp.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Roy of Sumter and Melvin Brown Jr. and Tammy Brown of Oswego, and the granddaughter of the late Marvin Braswell of Walhalla, Edna Capps of Walhalla, the late Melvin Brown Sr. of Sumter and the late Claudia Jordan of Sumter. She graduated from Hudgens Academy in Lynchburg in 2000 and attended Tompkins Cortland Community College in Dryden, New York. She is employed by Horizons, a Division of Empower Federal Credit Union.

The bridegroom is the son of Shari Mills and Michael Short of Endicott, New York, and the late Edward Mills of Endicott, New York, and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Steven Mills of Campville, New York, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Steven Vanderpool of Owego, New York. He graduated from Union Endicott High School in 2000. He is retired.

Pastor Stacy Tanco of Ignite Church in Endicott, New York, officiated.

Escorted by her stepfather, Robert Roy, the bride wore a strapless, A-line, ivory lace corseted gown with gathering at the hip. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white calla lilies.

Danielle Van Patten served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Aubrey Lyon and Brandi Weed. Lily Griffiths served as flower girl.

Robert Van Patten and Jason Fitch served as best men. Dan Griffiths served as groomsman.

Also participating were Alexander and Andrew Beardsley.

The rehearsal party and reception were held at PAL Camp in Binghamton, New York.

The couple resides in Whitney Point, New York.
