Streaming this afternoon for free is the fourth episode of Bouncing Back, a special season of News Without Ink that is highlighting the local nonprofits impacted by COVID-19. Each episode spotlights a different nonprofit and the canceled festival or event that usually serves as its fundraiser.

This week, host Kayla Green talks with Mindy Popovich, president of United Way of Sumter, Clarendon and Lee Counties, which mobilizes resources and leaders to strengthen our communities with a focus on improving people's health, education and financial stability.

United Way both provides its own services and helps support other organizations doing good work in the area, and it is also serving as the point of contact for donations made through this podcast.

Also on the show this week, we brought back Danielle Thompson, who helps organize Derby Day as a fundraiser for United Way.

Also available in the first three episodes are conversations with Sumter United Ministries and Oktoberfest and Sumter Senior Services, Sip n Stroll, and Sumter Green.
