McArthur Roberts, Jr., 37, of 21 E. Patricia Drive, was charged with passing counterfeit checks Aug. 14 after police said he cashed four checks totaling about $ 1,844 at a business in the 1000 block of Broad Street from July 20 to Aug. 3.
