Bishopville man dies in motorcycle wreck in Lee County

A 46-year-old Bishopville man died in a motorcycle wreck Thursday evening on Green Lane.
David Hightower Yon was pronounced dead on scene, according to the Lee County Coroner’s Office.
The wreck occurred at about 9 p.m., when Yon was traveling westbound and ran off the right side of the road and was ejected from the motorcycle, said Lance Cpl. Tyler Tidwell, with the South Carolina Highway Patrol. He was wearing a helmet.
