BETTY DEAN LYNCH BREWER

MANNING - Betty Dean Lynch Brewer, 85, wife of Thomas Geiger Brewer Sr., died on Monday, Dec. 5, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Born on March 4, 1937, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late James Oliver Lynch and Fozia Lee Lowder Lynch. She was a member of Home Branch Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years of Manning; six children, Margaret Brewer (Joe) and Tom Brewer (Linda), both of Manning, Elaine Brewer Driggers of Turbeville, Mildred Brewer Peet (Dean), Paul Brewer (Marie) and Paulette Brewer Peterson (Ronnie), all of Manning; a daughter-in-law, Judy Brewer of Manning; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pat Brendlen (Bob) of Sumter and Mickey Sims (Rut) of Butler, Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ben Brewer; two grandchildren, Jennifer Brewer and Baby Boy Brewer; two daughters-in-law, Jane Brewer and Joy Brewer; a son-in-law, Mitch Driggers; six brothers, Arthur, Billy, Oliver, Fred, Raymond and Ed Lynch; and four sisters, Frances, Mary, Shirley and Marie.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Home Branch Baptist Church with the Revs. Del Peet, Allan Glass and Bennie Barwick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Brewer, Joey Brewer, Matthew Peet, Wesley Brewer, Cameron Ford and Joshua Mahaffey.

The family would like to thank her caregivers, Marc Brewer, Sandra Murdaugh, Brenda Shelton and Crescent Hospice, Pam Weinberg and Jennifer Coker, for their loving and compassionate care.
