BESSIE MAE WHITE KIND

Bessie Mae White Kind was born Jan. 22, 1947, in Sumter County to the late Thomas and Inez White. She departed this earthly life on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Bessie attended the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Eastern High School. After graduation, she joined the Job Corps, where she began her nursing career. She later attended the School of Nursing at Tuomey Hospital in Sumter, where she received her LPN license. She later continued her studies in anesthesiology at Clemson University. Bessie was employed for several years as a nurse at Tuomey Hospital and Eastern Health Clinic. In the most recent years, she worked as a loyal health care worker. She was a faithful member of St. Stephens Baptist Church, where she served as an usher until her health began to fail.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, at St. Stephens Baptist Church, 1917 Boykin Road, Rembert, with the Rev. William Jefferson, officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 5320 Seymore Road, Dalzell.

Interment will follow in St. Stephens Baptist Church Cemetery.
