Beatrice C. Hoaglin, 99, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Lake Marion Nursing Facility in Summerton.

Born April 3, 1911, in Dull, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Lusty Lee and Nettie Mottinger Clouse. She was first married to the late Victor Meeker and then to the late Gernie Hoaglin. She always loved working for the church and community. She belonged to the Ohio City Church of God and Manning United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Marlene Bennett (Theo) of Kettering, Ohio, and Sharon Cramer (Charles) of Manning; four grandsons, Michael Cramer (Mary Ann) of Tucson, Ariz., Stephen Cramer (Kim) of Charleston, Larry Cramer (Kathy) of Manning and David Bennett (Paula) of Hilton Head; 10 great-grandchildren, Mathew Bennett (Amber) of Oakwood, Ohio, Erin Sumersett (Ryan) of Moncks Corner, Katherine Henson (Brad) of Summerville, Lauren Thompson (Hank) of Alcolu, Brent Cramer of Manning, Justin, Cody and Cole Cramer, all of Charleston, Michael Bennett of Hilton Head and Freddie Morillo (Jennifer) of Bluffton; and seven great-great-grandchildren, Mathew, Michael, Savannah, Cole, Amelia, Zack and Kaela.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Shaw and Edith Adelblue; and a brother, Kenneth Clouse.

Funeral services were held July 28 at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Hutchison officiating.

HENRY JOHNSON Jr.

MANNING - Henry "Booster" Johnson Jr. died Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Sumter Health and Rehab Center.

Born Dec. 23, 1944, in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Henry Johnson Sr. and Annie Mae Thames Johnson. He attended Clarendon County public schools. He attended Mount Zero Baptist Church. Henry was employed for a number of years with Ward's Farm of Clarendon County and also Georgia Pacific Corp.

Survivors include a son, James Simon (Lenora) of Sumter; a sister, Ida Mae Carter (Johnny) of Hollywood, Fla.; three stepdaughters; a stepson; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lela S. Conyers; and a grandson, Shyeem Simmons.

Memorial services were held July 24 at the funeral home with the Rev. Mitchell Adger officiatinig.

The family received friends at the home of his daughter, Patricia HIlton, 1081 Miller Drive, U.S. 15, Paxville.
