Bank of Clarendon adds new credit officer to Manning office

MANNING - Bank of Clarendon has announced a new addition to its community banking team. Brett Frazier recently accepted the position of vice president, credit officer and will be serving the bank through its headquarters in Manning.

Frazier began his banking career at the Citizens Bank in 1995 as a banking officer, progressing to city executive of Olanta and Turbeville, serving in both retail and commercial banking roles. Most recently he served First Reliance Bank as vice president of credit analysis, responsible for establishing a centralized credit underwriting department ensuring compliance with bank policy and federal regulations for commercial loans throughout North Carolina and South Carolina, as well as monitoring the credit risk of the bank portfolio. He has more than 24 years of community banking experience.

"I feel blessed with the opportunity to join such an outstanding bank," Frazier said, "and I look forward to continuing the work that the bank has done for the communities it serves with people who have a genuine concern for the well-being of their customers and fellow employees."

Frazier is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with degrees in finance and management. He is also a graduate of the South Carolina Bankers School and is a certified financial analyst.

His community service history is also vast, including serving as president and treasurer of the Olanta Business Association, treasurer of the Turbeville Ruritan Club, and a baseball, football and volleyball coach for the Turbeville Recreation Department. He is a trustee of First Baptist Church in Turbeville, board member of the Freewill Baptist Children's Home and has served on the board of directors for the Clarendon County Chamber of Commerce. He is also a graduate of the Leadership Florence program. Frazier resides in Turbeville with his wife of 26 years, Dawn, and their three children.

Commenting on the bank's recent hires, Stacey McInnis, Bank of Clarendon's executive vice president, retail banking and human resources officer, said, "Although this is a challenging time in many ways, we are committed to providing stable and reliable service to the communities we serve.
