CLARENDON COUNTY - The Azalea Garden Club brightened offices throughout Clarendon County with beautiful and fragrant floral arrangements in celebration of National Garden Week, June 4-10.

More than a dozen Azalea Garden Club members clipped blossoms and greenery from their own gardens, immersed the stems in water, grabbed their gardening shears and headed to the courtyard at Land Parker Welch off Mill Street for a morning of designing floral arrangements to share with the folks across the county. Stunning hydrangea blossoms in shades ranging from deep blue to mauve, dusty pink and lavender along with daisies and dozens of other flower varieties were displayed in a kaleidoscope of brilliant colors.

For years, the Azalea Garden Club has been sharing its talents and skills in floral design with businesses, organizations, governmental offices, agencies, nursing homes, the Harvin Clarendon County Library, the Clarendon County Archives, McLeod Health Clarendon and many more.

The Azalea Garden Club has earned numerous state and national awards for this project.

"We hope everyone enjoys their arrangements," said Azalea Garden Club member Marie Land. "We love doing this for our community."
