Around Town: Sumter Little Theatre to present "God of Carnage"

The Sumter Little Theatre will present the following: 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9-12 and Feb. 16-19, "God of Carnage"; 7 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, March 23-26, March 30-31 and April 1-2, "Into the Woods"; and 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, "The Phantom Tollbooth". A musical duo that plays more than 10 genres of music using the violin, Sons of Mystro will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, at the Sumter Opera House, 21 N. Main St. Born to a Barbadian mother and Jamaican father, brothers Malcolm and Umoja honed their violin-playing skills in the south Florida school system and now tour and share their reggae style music with the world. The 10th Annual Barbecue Cook-Off benefiting Boy Scouts of America will be held Friday-Saturday, March 24-25, at the Sumter County Fairgrounds Agricultural Building, 700 W.
