Around Town: Blue Dogs to perform at Sumter Opera House

Shiloh Project Lift will host a community breakfast at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Shiloh Community Center, 475 Pudding Swamp Road, Lynchburg. The purpose of this event is to highlight the acquisition of the St. John School building from the Sumter County School District and the community's concerns, issues and desires for service as well as willingness to join the effort of Shiloh-St John's expansion.

The 10th Annual Barbecue Cook-Off benefiting Boy Scouts of America will be held Friday-Saturday, March 24-25, at the Sumter County Fairgrounds Agricultural Building, 700 W.
