CLARENDON COUNTY - While COVID-19 is affecting families around the world, folks in Clarendon County are also experiencing problems that are associated with staying indoors and away from family and friends for not only days, but weeks.

"I know these are trying times for us all," said Christina Darby, director of Development-Sumter Heart Walk. "I want to share resources with the folks of Clarendon and Sumter counties that may be helpful to them. They can share the information with their friends, families and colleagues."

Darby shared the Kick Cabin Fever to the Curb campaign which focuses on a "10-day Program Helping Families Remain Active While Working from Home." The program suggests staying active by dancing, gardening, workouts, a scavenger hunt and more.

Darby said that the Move More Month campaign that is sponsored by the American Heart Association has been updated to reflect the current CDC recommendations.
