3 Sumter precincts changed for November election

The deadline to register to vote in the November election that will decide the nation's next president and a host of state and local positions is approaching the one-month mark.

Voters must register by Oct. 3, which includes completing all change of address forms. The deadline applies to being able to vote absentee or in person for the presidential election as well as Sumter County's local partisan and nonpartisan ballot.

Three polling locations have changed in Sumter County, according to Pat Jefferson, director of the county's voter registration and elections office.

Voters in the Savage-Glover precinct will now be voting at South Sumter Resource Center, 337 Manning Ave.

Voters in the St. John precinct will now be voting at Shiloh Community Center, 475 Puddin Swamp Road, in Lynchburg.

Voters in the Spectrum precinct will now be voting at Kingsbury Elementary School, 825 Kingsbury Road.
