3 Clarendon schools hosting vaccine drive on Saturday

While 70% of eligible Americans nationwide have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, only 35% of Clarendon County residents have done so.

Because of that data from the state public health department, three vaccination events are being held at schools in Clarendon County on Saturday.

The In It to Win It campaign is a partnership between the state Department of Education and Department of Health and Environmental Control.

Anyone 12 years or older can receive the Pfizer vaccine at the events, while adults 18 and older can receive the Moderna or the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

Attendees can receive either their first or second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

Following are the events being held on Aug. 21:

East Clarendon High School

Address: 1171 Pope St., Turbeville, SC 29162

When: Noon-4 p.m.

Manning High School
