A single-car collision on Sunday, April 13, took the life of 27-year-old Isaac Nelson of Sumter County, according to Sumter County Coroner Robbie Baker.
The driver of a 2011 Hyundai sedan was traveling east at approximately 8:10 p.m. on Queen Chapel Road, near Westberry Mill Road, when Nelson traveled off the roadway to the left then overturned several times before striking a house, according to SCHP Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway. Nelson succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Next of kin has been notified, and an autopsy will be performed on Wednesday at the Medical University of Charleston.
This wreck remains under investigation by Sumter County Coroner's Office and S.C. Highway Patrol.
