17th-Annual Fall Field Day set for Sept. 23 in Dalzell

The S.C. Green Industry Association will hold its 17th-Annual Fall Field Day on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Modern Turf, 2895 Edens Road in Dalzell. Early bird registration ends on Sept. 17, and space is limited. To register, visit https://scgreen.org/fall-field-day-registration/.

Educational presentations, hands-on courses, equipment demonstrations, networking with exhibitors and a catered lunch will be offered throughout the day. Attendees will also earn two S.C. Pesticide Applicator Credits.

The event will begin at 8 a.m. with onsite registration. Presentations and exhibitor visits will end at 3 p.m. Speakers and topics for the day include:

- Management of Warm Season Grasses - BJ Haunert, Modern Turf;

- Pest Management of Trees and Shrubs - Mike Johnson, Vereens Turf;

- Commercial Truck Efficiency - Mike Evans, Kim Fackelman, Ed Jones, Carolina Trucks;

- Operational Efficiency of an Irrigation System - Rob Simmons, Simmons Irrigation Supply;

- Selling Landscape Lighting - Jason Shanabarger, Unique Lighting Systems; and

- Power Equipment Safety - Scott Martin, Husqvarna Group.
