1-vehicle collision results in fatal in Lee County

An early morning one-vehicle collision ended in a fatality in Lee County.
According to Master Trooper William H. Bennett with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, a 2019 Tesla sedan was traveling west on Kelly Bridge Road, about 10 miles east of Bishopville, at 6:42 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, when the vehicle ran off the road to the left and struck a tree. The driver was the only occupant of the vehicle and died at the scene as a result of injuries.
The collision remains under investigation by the SCHP.
