One person is dead and two are injured, including the alleged shooter, after a DoorDash delivery turned fatal on Christmas Day.

Deputies responded to a call of a shooting along Piedmont Road in Lee County at about 5:21 p.m. Dec. 25. Upon arrival, deputies found a man who said he witnessed a gray Honda come with who he thought to be a Black male standing up in the vehicle's sunroof, pointing a gun and shooting toward his house.

Calandra Troy, 40, of Bishopville, was found lying in the doorway of the home, conscious with two bullet wounds in her stomach and being cared for by her daughter, according to an incident report. A second victim, Troy's son, was sitting on the front porch steps and was being cared for by his sister's boyfriend.

Both Troy and her son were taken to a local hospital, where Troy died from her injuries. Her son remains in the hospital.

Investigators were able to determine the Honda had completed a DoorDash delivery up the road from the shooting. The DoorDash recipient was interviewed by law enforcement and said the order was delivered by an individual in a black mask and camouflage jacket. They were able to tell the DoorDasher was a female, according to the incident report.

After pulling the footage from the fast-food restaurant where the DoorDash order was retrieved and contacting the delivery company, deputies were able to identify the DoorDash account owner and, using a DMV search, visited their registered address on Bowman Drive. A relative at the residence told deputies they were getting calls that their granddaughter, Tyuonna Dinkins, 19, was involved in the shooting. On a phone call with Dinkins, she refused to meet with deputies, stating she did not know anything, the report stated.

Deputies met with the DoorDash account member, who is also a relative of Dinkins, who confirmed Dinkins does DoorDash using their account, including the order completed on Dec. 25, 2024, along Piedmont Road. The relative said they were unaware of who owned the Honda.

Using Flock cameras, deputies were able to identify the license tag and vehicle owner, Ly'Nazia Williams. Williams said she called Dinkins to hang out, and Dinkins proposed doing DoorDash. Williams told deputies she refused but loaned Dinkins her vehicle. Williams was caught on camera at the restaurant where the DoorDash order was retrieved from as the driver during both the delivery and the shooting, the incident report stated. Williams then told deputies she was looking at her phone during the delivery when Dinkins reentered the car, turning the radio's volume up. She then turned to see Dinkins hanging out of the sunroof before she heard gunfire. Williams said when she got to a stop sign, she questioned Dinkins, to which Dinkins answered, "That was Huncho," and told Williams to drive. From there, Williams dropped Dinkins off at an apartment complex before she went to see another friend.

Williams was taken into custody and charged with murder and attempted murder, according to Lee County Sheriff's Office. She remains in custody after being denied bond.

Two days later, at about 1:10 p.m. on Dec. 27, deputies responded to a Bowman Road residence and found the house had been struck by gunfire, but no injuries were reported.

Within the next hours, deputies then responded to a drive-by shooting at a mobile home park along Royer Road, and Dinkins was identified as the victim, according to the incident report. Witnesses at the mobile home park told deputies that a blue Kia Forte and a person hanging out of the window of a white four-door Toyota Camry had passed by the mobile home park twice.

A traffic stop was conducted on the Kia Forte along Sumter Highway near Piedmont Road. Upon searching the vehicle, several weapons were found in the trunk, including an RF-15 multi-caliber rifle that was restored to shoot automatically. The owner of the vehicle said their brother asked to drive the vehicle on that day from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The male initially denied any involvement but later admitted to driving two others to the Bowman Road residence where the shooting took place. The three were arrested and charged with discharging a firearm into a dwelling and possession of a machine gun, according to the incident report.

EMS arrived at the convenience store along Charles Lane to render aid to Dinkins. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment, where she remains. She will be arrested and charged upon her release.
