MANNING - Wilma Jean Nipper Taylor, 83, wife of L.W. "Dub" Taylor, died on Monday, July 16, 2018, at her home.

Born on May 29, 1935, in Nicholls, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Oleph Kirkland Nipper. She was the second of a dozen children. She was a retired registered nurse. She was a graduate of Nicholls High School and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and nurse practitioner degree from Georgia Medical College. She was a member of Manning First Baptist Church, where she was a volunteer with the church's Friendship House ministry. She also volunteered with Caregivers Hospice. She was known as "a lady who was always doing something for somebody."

She is survived by her husband of 65 years; one daughter, Marie Benton of Canton, Georgia; one grandson, Derek Williams of Lexington; and several other family members.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family requests memorials be made to Manning First Baptist Church, 49 W. Boyce St., Manning, SC 29102.
