On Monday, Aug. 7, 2017, at Palmetto Health Richland, Willie's life of labor and love ended.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a son, Willie (Nichole) Whaley; one daughter, Tiffany Samuels; one stepdaughter, Pamela Carroll; six grandchildren, Keaha Whaley, Kaloni Whaley, Jamiyah Witherspoon, Jumauri Samuels, Dominic Darby and Annalynn Samuels; two brothers, Earl (Dora) Whaley and Bruce Whaley; special friend, Margaret Thompson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the chapel of Whites Mortuary, 517 N. Guignard Drive, Sumter. Interment will follow at the Greater Mt. Pisgah Church Cemetery, Rembert.
A public viewing will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. today at the mortuary.
The family is receiving friends at 4 Church St., Sumter.
