Washington Carver James, 76, husband of the late Elizabeth Lucas James, died on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at McLeod Health Clarendon in Manning.
Born in Rimini, he was a son of the late Sam A. and Julia Fairy James.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 8 p.m. daily until the day of the service at the home of his sister, Florence Knight, 1270 Julia James Road, Pinewood.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Palmer Memorial Chapel Inc.
