The right-handed Todd finished with five strikeouts for Sumter, which improved to 3-1 overall. The P-15's remained undefeated in League III play at 3-0.
Sumter pushed across a run in the first inning and made it 3-0 with a 2-run single by Cory Blackley in the second. The P-15's added their final run in the fourth.
Rashard Coleman had a hit and scored Hartsville's only run.
Post 53 fell to 3-5 overall and 2-2 in league play.
Hartsville plays Sumter at Riley Park today beginning at 7 p.m.
