THOMAS MOORE
Thomas "Johnny" Moore was born on Aug. 13, 1932, in Summerton, to the late William and Laura Brown Moore.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by two daughters, three brothers and eight sisters.
He departed this life on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, in Sumter.
Thomas leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Jannie M. Howard (Larry Sabo) and Ruth Ann (Paul) Mickens; three sons, Elijah Thomas (Gwen) Moore, Michael Allen (Marie) Moore and Manuel (Rose) Johnson; two stepdaughters, Tredder Melvin and Jennifer Coats (Jacob) Esmay; two stepsons, Opious Robinson and Zachary (Vera) Coats; sister, Eleanor Green; brother, John Moore; 31 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; 14 sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Mount Pleasant RMUE Church, 14076 Panola Road, Pinewood, with Pastor Theola Parker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
A public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.
The family is receiving friends at 404 Church St., Sumter.
