Sumter Today: The fire department installs smoke detectors in low income households

Posted

For today's show, we're heading out to the Crosswell Drive neighborhood where the Sumter fire department installed smoke detectors in homes not protected against fire and smoke detection. The neighborhood is where a house fire recently injured a mom and three kids and killed the father in a house without a smoke detector, so our first responders are trying to prevent it from happening to someone else.
