Sumter County Sheriff's Office arrested a Sumter man Wednesday for allegedly stealing food from the Family Dollar on U.S. 15 South one week prior.

William D. Childers, 29, of Timmerman Street, is charged with shoplifting after a store clerk reportedly saw him concealing food items under his clothing.
