Sumter County Council to meet

Sumter County Council will meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in County Council Chambers, Sumter County Administration Building, 13 E. Canal St., to consider a resolution to authorize a fee-in-lieu-of-tax agreement between the county and project Bulldog as well as first reading for an ordinance regarding the same agreement, in title only.

More information regarding project Bulldog will be provided during the meeting.

Council will also consider first reading of an ordinance to amend the master agreement governing Sumter-Lee Industrial Park to expand the boundaries of the park to include property operated by project Bulldog; and first reading of an ordinance to lease property to FTC Communications LLC.

Also, Sumter County Forfeited Land Commission will meet at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday in County Council Conference Room to discuss multiple contractual matters during executive session; and Sumter County Fiscal, Tax and Property Committee will meet at 5:15 p.m. in County Council Conference Room to hold an executive session to discuss an economic matter, receive a legal briefing and receive draft information regarding the 2019 fiscal year budget.
