Shortleaf Lane man charged with indecent exposure

CHARGES

Jessica M. Preusser, 32, of 850 Holiday Drive, was arrested on Thursday and charged with larceny for allegedly breaking into a 2012 Jeep Wrangler and taking a hunting bag containing miscellaneous hunting items valued at about $100 on or between Dec. 18 and Dec. 19, 2016. According to a news release from Sumter County Sheriff's Office, Preusser allegedgly committed the crime with two co-defendants.

Michael W. Davis, 58, of 2845 Shortleaf Lane, was arrested on Friday and charged with indecent exposure for allegedly exposing his private parts to a person while in the 2800 block of Shortleaf Lane on March 23.

Jawan M. Mack, 20, of 1867 Patriot Road, Manning, was arrested on Friday and charged with third-degree domestic violence and malicious injury to personal property for allegedly punching the victim in the head and face and throwing a cement block through the front windshield and driver's side window of a vehicle, causing approximately $440 in damage, while in the 5500 block of Edgehill Road on Feb. 7.

Andrew D. Greene, 27, of 831 Willis St., was arrested on Friday and charged with first-degree domestic violence for allegedly striking the victim in the head with a handgun while in the 4200 block of Broad Street on March 6. According to a news release from Sumter County Sheriff's Office, the victim managed to remove the ammunition clip from the weapon.

STOLEN PROPERTY

A Labrador Retriever puppy valued at $500 was reportedly stolen from a residence in the 2500 block of Navigator Circle, Dalzell, between 9 and 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

Multiple deposit bags containing approximately $4,000 in checks and cash were reportedly stolen from a lock box, and $100 was stolen from a desk drawer at a business in the 300 block of Broad Street between Friday and Sunday. According to an incident report from Sumter Police Department, a surveillance camera recorded a black male, an employee of a cleaning service, entering the building and begin cleaning before taking the items.

Approximately $400 was reportedly stolen from the office of a restaurant after suspects shattered the front glass door, causing about $500 in damage, to gain entry into the building. About $250 in damage was caused to an office door when suspects kicked it in, according to an incident report from Sumter Police Department.

Approximately $8,000 in cash was stolen from a convenience store in the 2400 block of S.C. 261 South, Wedgefield, on Friday morning.

DAMAGED PROPERTY

Approximately $400 in damage was caused to a bar and restaurant in the 1300 block of Broad Street when two front windows were broken during an alleged break-in between midnight and 3:30 a.m. on Friday. According to an incident report from Sumter Police Department, the victim told officers that nothing appeared to have been taken.
