Clarendon County Sheriff's Office asks for help on 3 cases

MANNING - Clarendon County Sheriff's Office is asking for assistance in helping to solve three incidents that occurred within the county during the past two months.

According to the sheriff's office, property was stolen from 1270 Epps Road in the Oakdale community in New Zion on July 2. The victim of the theft is offering a $1,000 reward. The items stolen include a 2018 17-foot enclosed Pace trailer and three go-carts, one yellow, one black and one white. Anyone who has information on these stolen items is asked to call Clarendon County Sheriff's Office at (803) 435-4414 or call Investigator S. Welch at (803) 460-3762.

The sheriff's office is also asking for assistance in identifying the man in a surveillance video taken on June 16 at Hampton Inn by Hilton at 2822 Paxville Highway, near Interstate 95 at exit 119. According to the sheriff's office, a hotel tenant was at breakfast when someone broke into the tenant's hotel room and stole several credit cards from a purse. Investigators think the person who broke into the room may be local. Anyone who recognizes or knows the individual in the picture is asked to call Clarendon County Sheriff's Office at (803) 435-4414.

The sheriff's office is also asking for help in identifying a vehicle that was parked inside a fence at storage units near the intersection of S.C. 521 (Greeleyville Highway) and Bloomville Road on May 23. According to the investigators, the vehicle was parked there around the time a storage unit was broken into. Bolt cutters were left at the scene. Anyone with information on this vehicle is asked to call the office at (803) 435-4414.
