SARAH P. LEE

Sarah Powell Parrott Lee, 102, widow of Weldon O. Parrott and Laverne Lee, died on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at a local nursing facility.

Born in the Hanna community of Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Hedley and Catherine Stone Powell.

Survivors include two daughters, Iler Odom (Guy) of Powder Springs, Georgia, and Sarah "Snookie" Roberts of Hemingway; 15 grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Belle Nettles of Lake City and Eveleen Stone of Pamplico; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Dessie Mae Lightsey and Mary Ella Parrott; one son, James Lewis; and 12 siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
