SAMUEL PRIOLEAU III

Samuel "Monster" Prioleau III, 56, departed this life on Monday, May 14, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

Born on Jan. 18, 1962, in Sumter, he was a son of Janie Lee Davis Prioleau and the late Samuel Prioleau Jr. At an early age, he joined High Hills AME Church. He was educated in the Sumter County School District. He was employed at the Chef House on Shaw Air Force Base for 22 years and later with Carolina Sweeping Service in Sumter. In 1982, he was united in holy matrimony to Christine Stavis Prioleau and was a devoted husband for 35 years. They helped raise a special daughter, Trinity Shyrece Webb.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Christine Stavis Prioleau of the home; his mother, Janie Davis Prioleau; eight brothers, William Prayleau of Temple Hills, Maryland, Rodney Prioleau of Dayton, Ohio, Micheal Prioleau, Gregory Prioleau, Rickey (Patricia) Prioleau, Dennis Prioleau, Herbert Davis and Earl (Yvonne) Davis, all of Sumter; six sisters, Janie (Maurice) Jeffreys of Baltimore, Angela Curtis of Griffin, Georgia, Minnie Russell (devoted sister), Mary Parker, Ethel Pearson and Margie (Troy) Bolden, all of Sumter; two sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 5620 Kenrose Lane, Rembert.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at High Hills AME Church, 6780 Meeting House Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Kenneth R. Mayes Sr., pastor, and Apostle Harold L. Bennett, eulogist.

The funeral procession will leave the home at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will be at High Hills AME Churchyard cemetery.
