SAMUEL J. PRIVITERA
SUMMERTON - Samuel John Privitera, 71, husband of Joyce Evelyn Mabry Privitera, died on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at his residence.
Born on Jan. 12, 1947, in Washington, D.C., he was a son of the late Samuel Joseph and Alicia Marie Kawalski Privitera. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Lake Marion Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of Summerton; a daughter, Tammy Privitera Jordan (Jose); two grandchildren, Michael Middleton and Hayes Jordan; a great-grandchild, Blake Middleton, all of Pennsylvania; a sister, Linda Privitera Carner (Harry) of Delaware; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Lake Marion Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Summerton.
Pallbearers will be Larry Tyler Jr., Martin Tyler, Nicolas Tyler, Nicolas Tyler Jr., Larry Grimsley and John Williams.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 1574 Princes Trace Circle, Summerton.
