CADES - Ronald Edgar DuBose, 86, died on Monday, Feb. 13, 2017, at Carolinas Hospital System, Florence.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at New Zion United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
Mr. DuBose was born on Aug. 17, 1930, in Clarendon County, a son of the late John Edgar DuBose and Edna Buddin DuBose. He attended Salem High School and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean conflict. Mr. DuBose was a member of New Zion United Methodist Church and retired from farming and construction.
Surviving are his daughter, Leila (Billy) Baker of Cades; grandchildren, Michael (Brandi) Baker and Justin (Stacia) Baker, both of Cades; great-grandchildren, Colten, Larson, Braxton and Gibson; and a brother, William A. "Bill" (Cleo) DuBose of Sumter.
Mr. DuBose was preceded in death by a daughter, Ronda Carol Dreher.
