MOUNT PLEASANT - Kristen Elizabeth Rackley and Roldao Bueno Fernandes Neto, both of Charleston, were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, 2018, at Alhambra Hall.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Rackley of Sumter and the granddaughter of Mrs. Otelia McDonald and the late Mr. Bernie McDonald of Rockingham, North Carolina, and the late Rev. W.T. and Mrs. Rackley of Bennettsville. She attended the University of South Carolina. She is employed by California-based company Marine Layer as the Southeast area manager.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leocarlos Fernandes of Inhumas Goi s and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Te filo Ferreira dos Santos of Anapolis Goi s and the late Mr. and Mrs. Rold o Fernandes of Inhumas. He graduated from Pontifical Catholic University of Goi s with a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Master's degree in Finance from Faculdades ALFA. He is the owner of Mr. Flooring in Charleston.

The Rev. Jock Hendricks officiated at the ceremony with Thiago Muniz as co-officiant / translator.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory-and-champagne trumpet-style gown with all-over beaded lace. She carried a bouquet of burgundy dahlia, quicksand cream blush roses, blue thistle and dusty lace miller tied with cream ribbon.

Kathryn Nicole Rackley served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Allison Mobley, Alicia Butler, Anna Wells, Chandler Connor, Mary Whyte and Melissa Mosier. Adalyn Rackley, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.

Ritchelli Quintao served as best man. Groomsmen were Joel Rackley, Tiago Souza, Guilherme Ferreira, Amilton Ferreira, Murillo Preda and Thiago Silva. Jacob Rackley, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.

Anna-Kate Sherrill served as wedding planner.

The bride's parents held the reception at Alhambra Hall.

The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at the Isle of Palms.

The couple is planning a trip to Brazil in 2019 and resides in Charleston.
